Welcome to SmartCV Tanzania, operated by Dragonfinity Systems ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our website at smartcv.dragonfinitysystems.com ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using SmartCV Tanzania, you represent that you are of legal age and have the authority to agree to these Terms.

2. Service Description

SmartCV Tanzania provides AI-powered tools to help job seekers build, improve, and download professional CVs and cover letters, and to help recruiters screen and rank candidates. Our services include:

• CV building and PDF generation
• AI-assisted CV optimization and rewriting
• Cover letter generation
• Job application email drafting
• Recruiter candidate screening and ranking
• Free CV rating/scoring (public, no account required)

3. Account Registration

We use a passwordless login system via one-time codes (OTP) sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure. You may not use another person's account or email address without authorization.

4. Payments

Certain features require payment, processed securely via Selcom, a licensed payment gateway in Tanzania. All prices are listed in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS). Payments are non-refundable once a service has been successfully delivered (e.g., PDF generated). If a technical failure prevents delivery, please contact us for resolution.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in your CV or recruiter account
• Use the Service to scrape, harvest, or collect data about other users
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, payment checks, or security controls
• Upload files containing malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Reproduce or resell the Service's outputs for commercial redistribution without written permission
• Use the recruiter portal to discriminate against candidates on unlawful grounds

6. Intellectual Property

All content you create on SmartCV Tanzania (CV data, cover letters, etc.) remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to process and store your content solely to deliver the Service. Our platform code, design, AI prompts, and branding are our intellectual property and may not be copied or reused without permission.

7. AI-Generated Content

Sections of your CV, cover letters, or emails may be drafted or rewritten by AI. While we strive for quality output, AI suggestions may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before submitting it to employers or recruiters.

8. Data Retention

Your CV files and data are retained as follows, depending on your selected recruiter package:

• Basic package (recruiter): CV files deleted immediately after processing
• Standard/Professional: Retained for 30–60 days
• Quarterly: Retained for 90 days
• Job seeker accounts: Your saved CVs and documents are retained while your account is active

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Tanzanian law, SmartCV Tanzania and Dragonfinity Systems are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost job opportunities, inaccurate AI output, or payment processing delays.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the Service, without prior notice.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or a notice on the site. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be resolved through the courts of Tanzania or by mutual arbitration.
